MARCH 28, 2007 -- Lima Village Board Enrolls in the Alliance for Business Growth Program
At the March 27th board meeting, the Lima Village Board showed its commitment to revitalize the downtown business district by joining the Alliance for Business Growth Program.
This Livingston County organization has had great success in helping villages such as Dansville, Livonia, Mt Morris and Nunda promote and expand the business opportunities in the downtown districts.
By joining the Alliance, Lima’s existing and new business owners who qualify will be eligible for a variety of programs such as rent subsidies, essential goods and services grants, downtown marketing and promotional technical assistance, business ownership training and, most importantly, business financing with low interest loans.
The Village Board envisions this as a major step to revitalize and improve our main street appeal. Julie Marshall, Deputy Director of the Alliance, and Supervisor Pete Yendell, who is the Board of Supervisor’s representative, attended the Village Board meeting and explained the many benefits of the program. Interested parties can get additional information about this program at the Village office.
